I am proud to say that January 1st, 2016 is the first anniversary of stepping into a new Life Adventure that I call "Designing My Life".
I chose to begin creating a new life for myself, rather than continue to just keep watching it show up day after day. Watching had no juice, no vitality, no excitement, and no direction. Boring, one might call it.
Patty had been encouraging me to get out into the world more, or as she said, "You owe it to the world to share your sparkle and your magnificence." With this loving support (and nudging) I said I would begin on January 1, 2015 a project I called "Designing My Life".
So how am I doing one year later? Glad you asked. My life is mostly unrecognizable from just one year ago. Every day I go to my "Possibilities List" to see what I want to include in my day that will open me up, take me into the world, connect with people, expand my horizons, step out of my comfort zone, have more fun and adventures.
I chose a Possibility List rather than a To Do List, because life does have a lot of "To Do's" that need doing, but Possibilities create openings, often unexpected, always exciting, and definitely expanding.
Rather than go on and on, I'm going to share a 3 minute video that I made that last June that speaks to what I was heading into.
Out of this Life Adventure I created two online books that share what I've been learning and are a clearing house for others' knowledge and contributions. I am very proud of them, and you may have noticed that my Wednesday postings from the "Heart of Gold Gazette" and the "Hearts & Minds Cafe Radio Hour" often refer to them.
The first book is titled "Designing My Life". You can get there by clicking here.
From my work in "Designing My Life" came my renewed interest in and admiration for Joseph Campbell's work. Sharing his work has become my life's work, it's how I'm "Following My Bliss" and it's about each of us actually living our own Hero's or Heroine's Journey. The book is called "Heart of Gold".

Well, I'm on to another year, and another, and another. You are very welcome to join me on your own Hero's or Heroine's Journey. It's grand having company. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
This is my solemn promise to you.
I wish a happy and expansive new year.
May the rest of your life
be the Best of your life.
